Chainlink is an open-source oracle network that focuses at connecting smart contracts with info from physical world. Considering that the blockchain technology is not able to approach external information, oracles are necessary to operate as data providers in smart contracts. Founded by Sergey Nazarov, Chainlink provides various external data that causes smart contract enactment in case if other conditions were fulfilled. Chainlink users are motivated (with LINK token remunerations) to help smart contracts to extract useful external information or submit necessary data to the network.
Chainlink (LINK) path reminds of the history of cryptocurrencies in general having relative obscurity, skyrocketing prices, panic-causing correction ... No wonder many people have a question - how reliable is this currency, how to buy Chainlink, how much money can you make on it?
Chainlink is based on the Ethereum blockchain, with all the ensuing technical characteristics, including the ERC-20 standard token. Developers position their brainchild as a decentralized network of oracles, which play the role of an intermediary “middleware” between smart contracts of various blockchains and external resources necessary for their use. This channel allows exchanging data in accordance with the conditions specified in the contract. In simple terms, the oracle creates an "information network" between businesses or people. Such a network excludes interaction with intermediaries, it is truly decentralized and cannot be regulated by anyone.
Demand for such technologies is expected to grow, which could further enhance LINK's development. The project has already helped big companies like Google, Gartner, Binance, AAVE and more. At the moment, the network allows information to be transferred to the Ethereum, Bitcoin and Hyperledger blockchains and many more to come. Chainlink has partnered with Swift, Gartner and IC3 and pioneered this niche by building a network of trusted oracles that will give it a high edge in the long run.
Chainlink news is spreading on social media that the company began hiring bloggers to advertise on TikTok in 2020. Many users have drawn a parallel with the growth of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency: in just a couple of days, it has risen in price by 103% due to a viral video on TikTok.
Today, almost all exchanges support buying and selling, converting Chainlink to USD or other fiat money and cryptocurrency.
Depending on the offers on a particular platform, Chainlink can be bought in the following ways:
It is recommended to buy a digital coin online at a favorable rate on exchange services, for example, on Godex exchange which provides with round-the-clock consideration of applications for the purchase of cryptocurrency, no hidden fees, low commissions. The exchange service guarantees the confidentiality of the transaction, fast payment processing. For the comfort of users, there is a technical support service that instantly solves all difficulties.
The token is called LINK and is required for the entire system to function. Clients pay for the services of data providers in LINK tokens. Information providers, accordingly, freeze the collateral also in LINK tokens. If smart contracts begin to be massively created in Chainlink, then there will be huge demand for the LINK token, because it is vital for the functioning of the system.
LINK token complies with the ERC677 standard, although it works in terms of the ERC20 system and, accordingly, has the same set of features. Over the past few months, the number of coins in circulation has increased by over 14% as the Chainlink team sold 50 million of LINK coins. The continued concentration of supply suggests that LINK's main holders continue to accumulate assets. According to the researchers, support and optimism from the existing community is a positive sign for LINK.
Chainlink tokens are not designed for mining, however, there should be no problems with storing coins, so you can keep LINK in any wallet that supports the Ethereum algorithm.
It is still possible to conduct Chainlink mining in an exotic way, i.e. to become an oracle and provide data preparing your own smart contract.
The ChainLink project includes two aspects, i.e. blockchain systems and external environment. Both parts actively interact with each other to provide up-to-date and verified information.
Any organization capable of providing the requested information can act as the ChainLink oracle. For example, a stock exchange, a payment system or a banking structure. Within the framework of a smart contract and transactions, the accuracy of the data provided by financial institutions plays a special role.
Correlation and synchronization of smart contracts and external data will not only help avoid errors in the network, but also speed up the exchange of information. With the elimination of intermediation and the formation of direct communication channels, such processes will become more streamlined, which will increase the attractiveness and usability of smart contracts.
Nowadays Chainlink is ranked 10th worldwide, with a market capitalization of $ 11,854,276,952. The Chainlink ICO was held in September 2017 and raised $ 32 million. The LINK issue is 1 billion coins. 35% of LINK tokens were sold during the ICO, another 35% were allocated to further support of the Chainlink nodes that will operate in the system, and 30% was allocated to the Chainlink team for further development. At the moment there are 411,509,556 coins in circulation, which is 41% of the maximum supply.
According to experts, Chainlink value may grow by 10 to 100 times its all-time high, if the currency maintains its relevance in the industry and manages to outperform its competitors. Real user traction is another critical factor in Chainlink's success. Chainlink has built a wide and passionate community that is educated and patient, and this is sure to pay off for the long perspective.
