The Graph is a protocol that allows anyone to quickly and cheaply extract all the information they need from the blockchain. The Graph has a Graf node application that processes the entire block chain and allows registering subgraphs on it determining which blocks to view and how to process the data.
The Graph organizes and adjusts blockchain data using subgraphs, and decentralized applications, exchanges, aggregators and other services get the data they need through the API using the GraphQL query language. Four types of participants interact in the protocol such as indexers, curators, delegators, and consumers. All interaction is closely connected with tokenomics: requests are paid in GRT tokens, indexers and curators stake GRT to receive inflationary (3% per year) and request rewards, delegates also receive a part of the rewards minus the commission.
GRT is the native ERC-20 utility token and it will bring passive income to delegators, and at the same time its nature will not only have inflationary character, but also will be based on ecosystem (payment for requests). Also, The Graph in the future may work not only with the ETH blockchain, but also with other networks.
