Originally called “ZenCash”, the Horizen project was founded in 2017 by Rolf Versluis and Rob Viglione. The platform was aimed at maintaining a peer-to-peer blockchain network for payments, social media and communication. Later in 2018, it was renamed into Horizen that embodies a global ecosystem in which all users are empowered and remunerated for their contributions. This decentralised platform allows software developers and businesses to easily and transparently build blockchain applications. Horizen’s blockchain called SDK offers all required elements for quick and effective deployment of any blockchain project.
