Bybit Without KYC? What Changed, and the Alternatives (2026)

Bybit Without KYC? What Changed, and the Alternatives on the Godex blog
Contents

Written for the Godex blog on October 29, 2026. Godex appears in this list. Facts about Bybit and the other services come from their own Help Centers, docs and Terms, checked in October 2026.

No, Bybit no longer has a tier where you can trade without verification. Its Help Center now says Standard verification is "mandatory for all Bybit products and services". An unverified account can still withdraw crypto, up to a cap, and that's about it. If what you actually need is to turn USDT into BTC, or one altcoin into another, you can do that without an exchange account. Godex, StealthEX, ChangeHero, FixedFloat and Exolix all swap wallet to wallet, and PancakeSwap works from your own wallet.

Does Bybit still have a no-KYC tier?

Guides from a year or two ago, including an older Godex article, describe a Bybit account where you could register with an email and still trade within limits. That's no longer what Bybit says. Its Individual KYC FAQ, last updated August 20, 2026: "Identity Verification of at least Standard level is mandatory for all Bybit products and services."

The "Benefits of Different KYC Levels" table (updated October 6, 2026) spells out the details:

Your Bybit status What you hand over Crypto withdrawals Deposits, spot, derivatives, Earn, card
Not verified — Up to 20K USDT a day, 100K a month ✗
Standard Identity check + proof of identity Up to 1M USDT a day ✓
Advanced Proof of address Up to 2M USDT a day ✓
Pro Enhanced due diligence Up to 2M USDT a day (more for VIP tiers) ✓

So an old, unverified account can still move crypto out, within those caps. Bybit's FAQ adds that it may ask for verification before a withdrawal anyway. Bybit says it uses KYC "to identify customers and analyze their risk profiles". Its Platform Terms and Conditions (effective October 16, 2026) tie this to a User Identification Policy.

None of this is unusual for an exchange that offers leverage and holds user balances. Bybit has done it since launching in March 2018, and it covers a lot of ground: 583+ spot pairs, derivatives, copy trading, trading bots, Earn, P2P and a card.

What a Bybit user usually needs from an alternative

If you're looking elsewhere, the reason is rarely derivatives. More often it's one of these:

  • converting USDT you already hold into BTC, ETH or something else
  • rotating between altcoins without parking them on an exchange
  • moving funds out of an old, unverified account into a wallet you control

All three are swaps rather than trades. An instant swap service handles them without an account, and a DEX does if you already have a self-custody wallet.

Six options, as cards

Godex

  • Good for: converting USDT or any of 960+ coins with no account; locking a fixed rate that holds if your deposit is confirmed within 30 minutes; amounts of any size, since there's no upper limit. It has run since 2017, and swaps usually complete 5–30 minutes after the deposit arrives.
  • Keep in mind:
    • No derivatives, leverage or Earn.
    • The fixed rate includes a spread, so it's not the cheapest quote on every pair.
    • Godex's AML/KYC Policy is risk-based, so high-risk transactions can be checked, refused or postponed.
    • A 3% market move before your deposit lands can mean extra time or a refund under its Terms.
    • Some jurisdictions in its policy aren't served.
  • Try: USDT to BTC.

StealthEX

  • Good for: long-tail tokens. It lists 2,000+ coins and tokens, needs no account, offers fixed rates for exact amounts, and says it has no upper limits.
  • Keep in mind: its July 2026 Terms describe "a risk-based approach to verification"; the FAQ says that applies in rare cases.

ChangeHero

  • Good for: quick conversions between major coins. Founded in 2017, it aggregates quotes from 10+ venues and says swaps average about five minutes. It covers 350+ swap assets.
  • Keep in mind: the fixed rate lasts 15 minutes. Its March 2026 Terms let it apply AML/KYC checks to specific transactions.

FixedFloat

  • Good for: traders who like a fee schedule. It publishes 1% for fixed rate and 0.5% for float, plus the network fee, and needs no registration (Terms §7.1).
  • Keep in mind: a fixed-rate order must be funded within 10 minutes; per-pair minimums and maximums are shown on its main page; its October 2026 Terms allow origin-of-funds or ID checks in exceptional cases.

Exolix

  • Good for: slow deposits. Its Terms guarantee a fixed rate for 60 minutes from order creation. It launched in 2018 and lists 500+ cryptocurrencies.
  • Keep in mind: the About page says there's no maximum, but the widget shows per-pair limits. Its July 2026 AML/KYC Policy describes a risk-based review.

PancakeSwap

  • Good for: tokens already in your own wallet on BNB Chain or one of the ten other chains its docs list. Its docs say "no registration or account needed".
  • Keep in mind: you sign every transaction, pay network fees and carry smart-contract risk. Its Terms restrict sanctioned persons and jurisdictions.

USDT network cheat sheet

Most Bybit-to-swap problems are network problems. USDT exists on several chains, and a deposit only arrives if you send on the chain the swap form asks for.

USDT on Address usually starts with Watch for
Tron (TRC-20) T A T-address can't receive ERC-20 or BEP-20 USDT
Ethereum (ERC-20) 0x Same address format as BNB Smart Chain, so check the network name, not just the address
BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) 0x Same as above

When you withdraw from Bybit, pick the network by name and make it match the swap form exactly.

Converting USDT on Godex without an account

The screenshots show the Godex form in October 2026 with an LTC to XMR example. USDT works the same way, except you also choose its network.

Godex swap form: choose what to send and what to receive

Pick USDT and its network on the left, and the coin you want on the right. The estimate updates live.

Godex order form with Fixed rate turned on and the 30-minute condition

The form defaults to floating rate. Turn on fixed if you want the amount locked, and leave enough time for the Bybit withdrawal to confirm within 30 minutes.

Godex receiving address field and optional email

Add your receiving address. Email is optional. Clicking Exchange accepts Godex's Terms, Privacy Policy and AML/KYC Policy. Then withdraw from Bybit to the one-time deposit address on the matching network. Expect the swap to finish 5–30 minutes after the deposit arrives.

Every screen is shown in our step-by-step Godex guide.

A note on rules

Swapping without an account isn't the same as swapping without rules. Each service above, Godex included, can look closer at transactions it considers high-risk. Your tax and reporting obligations stay as they are. Send a small amount first when the sum matters. For more on what "no KYC" really covers, see our no-KYC crypto exchange guide. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still trade on Bybit without KYC in 2026?

No. Bybit's KYC FAQ (August 2026) says Standard verification is mandatory for all products and services. Its benefits table marks deposits, spot, derivatives, copy trading, Earn and the card as unavailable without verification.

I have an old unverified Bybit account. Can I get my crypto out?

Bybit's benefits table says an unverified account can withdraw up to 20K USDT equivalent a day and 100K a month. Its FAQ notes that Bybit may still ask for verification before a withdrawal. Withdraw to a wallet you control, on the right network.

How long does a USDT swap on Godex take?

Typically 5–30 minutes after Godex receives the deposit. The network you choose matters, because confirmation times differ between Tron, BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum. The order page shows each stage until it's completed.

Is a swap service cheaper than Bybit's spot market?

Usually not on liquid pairs, where an exchange order book is tight. Godex's spread pays for a fixed rate and a swap without an account. Compare the final amount you receive, including Bybit's withdrawal fee.
