Polymath is a decentralised investment network that was launched in 2017 by one of the most well-known Blockchain founders Trevor Koverko. The platform aims to integrate standards for investing in digital assets, namely security tokens. Polymath uses smart contracts to store mandatory regulatory requirements applicable for all investors. The network simplifies the complicated lawful process of issuing and trading security tokens. As opposed to the established ERC20 standard, the POLY founders have introduced a new ST20 standard. As a result, the platform imposes compliance by authorising traders and their wallet addresses. POLY token is utilized for various payments within the system and eases exchanges between the Polymath users - investors, traders, miners and developers.
