Initially called RaiBlocks, Nano was launched in 2015 by Colin LeMahieu as a sustainable decentralised altcoin aimed at eliminating various flaws present in modern-days cryptocurrencies. Designed to address one of the key problems of cryptocurrencies - the speed of transactions at high loads, Nano’s main goal is to innovate the global economy with an advanced open network accessible to all of us. The project provides a free and fast transaction mechanism based on a new data structure called Block Lattice.
